JOHN E. JONES - PRINCIPAL/DESIGNATED BROKER
A Washington native, John grew up around his family’s commercial real estate investments, gaining exposure to property management as a young teenager in downtown Seattle. Prior to entering the commercial real estate industry, John spent eleven years as a business and project manager supporting a family office in the Middle East with their affairs in the US, as well as project management of large yacht construction projects in Chinese and Taiwan shipyards. He later worked at a regional real estate firm managing office, retail, industrial, marinas, and multifamily properties for a variety of clients, some with single assets and others with large portfolios. His expertise includes construction management, contract negotiations, budgeting, insurance procurement, leasing, commercial property accounting, client/tenant relations, building maintenance management, and pro-forma development. John has also provided expert witness services in commercial real estate lawsuits. John has a BA degree in business management from Washington State University, is the holder of a Washington State Real Estate Managing Broker License and is a graduate of the University of Washington Certificate Program in Commercial Real Estate.
With over twenty years’ experience in commercial real estate, John has both a big picture mentality useful in asset and portfolio management and the attention to detail required to be a successful property manager. He is sought out by clients with real estate portfolios in need of someone that can get properties back on track and pointed in the right direction, as well as individuals looking to invest in commercial real estate. John states “Attention to detail is critical in a property’s success. As the real estate industry becomes more complex and demands on property managers continue to grow, many owners find having a second set of eyes on their properties is extremely helpful to ensure that the property is performing optimally to maximize its value.”
JEAN S. JONES - MANAGING BROKER / COMMERCIAL UNDERWRITER
Jean has a BA degree in Economics from the University of California Irvine and an MBA from University of San Diego. She has over 21 years of experience in commercial real estate and banking. Jean started her career in California as a residential broker, and eventually worked in commercial banking as an underwriter and later owned and managed investment properties of her own. Jean later moved to Washington state to continue her career in banking at several small and large banks which helped her grow her network of clients and referral sources.
Jean previously worked as a Commercial Underwriter and Relationship Manager for several years and states that “As banking evolves with regular staff turnover and an inconsistent credit culture, at the end of the day, clients want to bank and do business with people they know and trust relying on terms that were promised to them. Clients want to be part of an ecosystem, big or small, where people have each other’s back.” Jean helps new and existing clients evaluate deals and navigate the process of obtaining commercial financing, while providing honest and thorough representation on their behalf to lenders to ensure expectations are met on both sides. She also works with real estate and loan brokers, helping them save their clients’ time and money when it comes to understanding a bank’s underwriting process and requirements. Jean is also a Certified Commercial Investment Manager (CCIM) in the commercial real estate industry. Her background as a commercial landlord, banker, and licensed real estate broker allows her to have a holistic view when it comes to investment real estate.
In her free time, Jean enjoys helping people as a Certified Gyrotonic® instructor at a studio in Seattle.
